Ceramic Coating in Perth
A ceramic coating is a hard, clear layer bonded to your paint, film, glass or wheels that makes them easier to clean and keeps the gloss. It suits owners who want less time washing and paint that stays looking deep, and it works over PPF too. A Crystal Serum Light package starts from $1,499, including GST, with the wash and paint correction included, and the car is with us for 2–3 working days.

What a coating does, and what it does not
A coating makes the surface slick, so water and dirt slide off and washing takes less effort. It adds gloss and helps resist bird droppings and insect marks for longer than wax.
It does not stop stone chips. That is the job of paint protection film. Many owners put film on the front of the car and a coating over everything.
Two coatings: five years or nine
We apply two Gtechniq coatings to paint. Crystal Serum Light goes on in two layers and lasts for five years with proper care. Crystal Serum Ultra with a top layer of EXOv5 is the harder, longer-lasting system: it lasts for nine years with proper care.
Each comes with a warranty for the same period: five years for Crystal Serum Light and nine for Crystal Serum Ultra with EXOv5. If you are keeping the car for the long term, the nine-year coating usually costs less per year of protection. If you plan to change cars in a few years, Crystal Serum Light covers that time.
Preparation comes first
A coating locks in whatever is underneath it. So our coating packages start with a decontamination wash and a clay bar treatment to lift bonded grime, then paint correction, so the coating seals a clean, corrected finish. After the coating goes on, we check every panel under the studio lights.
If your paint is already corrected or brand new, you can book the coating only: the same wash, clay treatment and coating, without the correction, priced after we see the paint. That takes 1–2 working days instead of 2–3. For a new car straight from the dealer, our new car protection packages, from $1,490 including GST, pair a gloss polish with coatings for the paint, and from Stage 3 the interior, glass and wheels.
Wheels, glass and film
Wheels get Gtechniq C5 Wheel Armour, so brake dust rinses off more easily, on the wheel faces or on the faces and the barrels inside and out. Glass gets G1 ClearVision Smart Glass, which helps rain bead and clear from the windscreen and windows. Both can be added to a coating or booked on their own, and we price them with your quote.
On PPF and wraps we use Labocosmetica Armorius, a coating made for film: the gloss version on gloss film, and the matte version on satin and matte film so the finish stays as it is. It is priced on the area of film being coated.

After you collect the car
Give the coating time to cure: please do not wash the car for the first seven days. After that, hand wash with a clean mitt and a pH-neutral shampoo. A touchless car wash is fine too, but skip car washes that use brushes.
Once a year, we offer an annual coating service: a full decontamination wash and a fresh ceramic sealant layer that keeps the coating slick between washes.

How long does a ceramic coating last?
With proper care, Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light lasts for five years, and Crystal Serum Ultra with EXOv5 for nine years. Each carries a warranty for the same period.
Is there a warranty?
Yes. Crystal Serum Light has a five-year warranty and Crystal Serum Ultra with EXOv5 a nine-year warranty, and we also stand behind our own work.
Is paint correction included?
In our coating packages, yes: the wash, clay treatment and paint correction come first, so the coating goes on a corrected finish. If your paint needs no correction, you can book the coating only, priced after we see the paint.
How long will my car be with you?
A coating package with paint correction takes 2–3 working days. A coating on its own takes 1–2 working days.
When can I wash the car?
Leave it for the first seven days while the coating cures. After that, hand wash it with a pH-neutral shampoo, or use a touchless car wash. Avoid car washes with brushes.
Do I still need to wash a coated car?
Yes. A coating makes washing easier, not unnecessary. Regular hand washing with a pH-neutral shampoo keeps it working.
Does a ceramic coating stop stone chips?
No. A coating is too thin to stop chips. For chip protection, paint protection film goes on first, and a coating can go over the film.
Can you coat a car with PPF on it?
Yes. We use Labocosmetica Armorius, which is made for film and wraps, in gloss or matte to match the film. It is priced on the area of film.
Can you coat only the wheels or the glass?
Yes. Gtechniq C5 Wheel Armour, for the wheel faces or the faces and barrels, and G1 ClearVision Smart Glass, for all the glass, can be booked on their own. We price them with your quote, and they come included from Stage 3 of our new car protection packages.
