Toyota RAV4 GR Sport PHEV

Satin film is not only for sports cars. This Toyota RAV4 GR Sport plug-in hybrid in Urban Rock grey went fully satin in Defcon Frozen PPF, and the result makes a familiar family SUV look like something special.

Frozen is a clear satin film. It keeps the Urban Rock colour but takes the gloss off, which suits the GR Sport’s black trim and grille. Every painted panel is covered, so the paint is protected from stone chips and car park scuffs as well as changed in finish.

The RAV4 has sharp creases along its doors and bonnet, and the GR and PHEV badges sit on the guards and tailgate. The badges came off where the film needed to run behind them and went back on over the film.

The windows were tinted at the same visit with nano-ceramic film, fitted within WA’s legal limits, to keep the cabin cooler. The film was then coated with Labocosmetica Armorius in its matte version, which keeps the satin look and makes washing easier.

The car spent five to seven working days in the studio and went home in August 2026.
