How much does PPF cost in Perth?
At our studio, paint protection film starts from $2,000 for the front end of a car and $5,500 for a full car in gloss film, including GST. 4WDs are priced separately and confirmed in a written quote. Full car satin film starts from $6,850, and a full colour change in colour PPF from $7,850. Your price depends on the vehicle, how much is covered and the finish, and we confirm it in a written quote.

What changes the price
Two cars on the same package can be quoted differently. These are the things that move the price:
- The size of the vehicle. A 4WD, ute or large SUV has more paint to cover than a car, which is why 4WDs have their own prices.
- How much is covered. Front End covers the panels that face the road. Front End + Full Sides adds the doors, sills and rear quarters. Full Car covers every painted panel.
- The finish. Clear gloss keeps the paint as it is. Satin film turns gloss paint into a low-sheen finish. Colour PPF changes the colour, and the film is ordered for your car.
- Shape and parts. Vents, wings, complex bumpers and painted bars, flares or canopies take longer to cut and fit.
- The paint underneath. Film seals in whatever is under it. If the paint has swirls or scratches, we suggest correction first; a one-stage correction of a full car starts from $800. We tell you before any extra work is done.

What affects the price
How big the car is and how many curves and vents it has, how much of it you cover, and the film you choose: satin and colour film cost more than clear gloss. Film locks in whatever is underneath, so if the paint needs correcting first, we say so and include it in your quote before any work starts.

Every PPF job at our studio includes:
- A wash and decontamination before any film goes on.
- Badges, trim and parts removed where the film needs to tuck behind them.
- Film cut on our computer plotter or by hand, as each panel needs.
- Every edge and corner wrapped.
- Registration on Defcon’s e-Warranty, with the ten-year manufacturer warranty on Defcon Glanz and Frozen.
- A check of every edge two weeks after you pick the car up.
Comparing PPF quotes
Before you compare two PPF quotes on price, check that they cover the same work. Ask each installer:
- Which film is it, by brand and product, and how thick is it?
- Are the edges wrapped, or is the film cut short of each edge?
- Are badges and trim removed, or is the film cut around them on the car?
- Is the warranty registered with the film maker, and for how long?
- Is paint correction included where the paint needs it, or extra?
- What happens if an edge lifts after pick-up?
Getting the most from your budget
If a full car is more than you want to spend, start with the front end. It covers the bumper, bonnet, front guards, mirrors and headlights, which face the road and take the stones.
On a new car, our new car protection packages put a ceramic coating, window tint and front end PPF together.

How much is PPF on a car in Perth?

Is PPF worth the money?
It depends on how the car is used. If it does freeway kilometres, or you want to keep the factory paint, film is the only thing that stops chips. Without it, a chipped panel means touch-ups or a respray.
Why do PPF prices vary so much between shops?
The film, how much is covered, whether parts are removed and edges wrapped, and the paint prep. Check that two quotes include the same work before you compare them on price.
Is GST included?
Yes. Every price on our website includes GST.
How do I get an exact price?
Send us the make, model and year, and what you want covered, with photos if you have them. We reply with a written quote within 24–48 hours.
