Paint Correction in Perth
Paint correction is machine polishing that removes swirl marks, light scratches and dullness from your car’s clear coat. It suits paint that has lost its depth, and it is the right first step before a ceramic coating or PPF. A one-stage correction of the full car starts from $800, including GST, and takes 1–2 working days.

What correction fixes
Most swirl marks come from washing: a dirty mitt or a drying towel drags grit across the paint. Under the sun they show as a web of fine circles. Correction levels the clear coat so light reflects evenly again, which brings back depth, especially on dark colours.
Deep scratches that go through the clear coat cannot be polished out. We tell you what can and cannot be fixed before we start.

One, two or three stages
Each stage is a pass over the paint with a different pad and polish. The more marked the paint, the more stages it needs.
- One stage: a single polish that removes light swirls and lifts the gloss. Usually 1–2 working days.
- Two stages: a cutting stage for deeper swirls and marks, then a finishing polish. Usually 2–3 working days.
- Three stages: cutting, refining and finishing, for heavily marked paint. Quoted after we see the car.

We measure the paint first
Correction removes a very thin layer of clear coat, and clear coat does not grow back. So before we polish, we measure the paint thickness on every car. It tells us how much clear coat each panel has to work with, and where to hold back, which matters most on older, original or resprayed paint.
After the inspection under the studio lights and the paint readings, we recommend the stage your paint needs and quote it before any work starts.
One panel or the whole car
If the marks are on one part of the car, such as a bonnet with wash marks or a door with a light scuff, we can correct that panel on its own. A single panel starts from $150, including GST.

Why it comes before coating or film
A coating or PPF locks in whatever is underneath it. Correcting first means the finish you protect is the finish you want to keep.
Book correction together with a ceramic coating or PPF and we price them as a package, for less than booking each on its own. Our coating packages already include paint correction.

What our customers say
Which stage does my car need?
We decide after inspecting the paint under the studio lights and measuring its thickness. Light swirls usually need one stage; deeper marks need two or three. You get the recommendation and the price before any work starts.
How long does paint correction take?
A one-stage correction usually takes 1–2 working days, and a two-stage correction 2–3. A three-stage correction depends on the paint, and we tell you when we quote.
Do you measure the paint before polishing?
Yes, on every car. The readings show how much clear coat each panel has, so we take off only as much as needed.
Can you correct just one panel?
Yes. A single panel starts from $150, including GST.
Does correction remove paint?
It removes a very thin layer of clear coat. We remove only as much as needed, which matters most on older or original paint.
How long does correction last?
The marks it removes are gone, but new ones come back with careless washing. A coating or PPF afterwards helps keep the finish.
Is it cheaper with a coating or PPF?
Yes. Booked together, correction and a coating or PPF are priced as a package. Our ceramic coating packages already include correction.
