GWM Cannon Alpha

The GWM Cannon Alpha is a big dual-cab ute, and this 2026 example came to us for the full treatment in one visit: paint protection film, window tint and a coating.

Every painted panel was covered in Defcon Frozen, a clear satin film that turns gloss paint into a low-sheen finish. On black paint the result is a satin black that suits the Cannon Alpha’s tall, square front, and the film takes stone chips and light scratches before they reach the paint. On a ute the tub sides and lower doors take grit thrown back by the tyres, so the whole vehicle was covered, not just the front.

The windows were tinted with nano-ceramic film to cut heat and glare in the cabin, chosen for the glass so each window stays within WA’s legal limits.

Finally, the film was coated with Labocosmetica Armorius in its matte version, made for satin and matte film. It makes the surface slicker, so dirt and water slide off, without adding shine to the satin finish.

All three jobs were done in five to seven working days.
