01 / Why PPF
The front of a Tesla takes every stone.
A Tesla’s nose is one wide, smooth panel with no grille. The bumper and the leading edge of the bonnet meet every stone thrown up on the freeway, and a chip shows straight away on that clean surface. Film takes the hit instead, and the paint underneath stays as it left the factory.

- 1
Front bumper
The widest target for stones on a grille-free nose.
- 2
Bonnet leading edge
Chips show first along the front of the bonnet.
- 3
Headlights
Film on the lenses takes the stone pitting.
- 4
Mirrors and A-pillars
Covered to the top of the windscreen.
Cameras left clear
The film is cut around every camera lens, so driver assistance works as it did.
- Self-healing top coat

Keep the gloss, or turn the whole car satin.
Both films protect in the same way. The difference is the look, so we can fit a small sample of either on your own Tesla before you decide.

05 / Step by step
From delivery to the two-week check.
How the booking works, how the film goes on, and when the car comes back.
Step 1 · Before the booking
Tell us the model and the date
Send the model, year and colour, whether the car has arrived or is on order, and what you want covered. We reply with a written quote within 24–48 hours, then book the studio days, around the delivery date if the car is still on its way.
Step 2 · Day one
Wash and prepare the paint
The car is washed and decontaminated, and we look over the paint for marks, chips and past repairs, because film seals in whatever is underneath it. If correction is needed first, we tell you what it involves and costs before any extra work.
Step 3 · 2–3 working days for a front end, 5–7 for a full car
Fit the film
Badges, trim and parts come off where the film tucks behind them. Film is cut on our plotter or by hand, every edge and corner is wrapped, and every camera lens is left clear. The finished car is checked panel by panel and registered on Defcon’s e-Warranty.
Step 4 · Pick-up, then two weeks later
Pick up, then the two-week check
Leave the car unwashed for the first week; a slight haze in the first days is normal and clears. Two weeks after pick-up, bring it back and we check every edge and corner for lifting or peeling, and fix anything there and then.

06 / Window tinting
Tint the windows at the same visit.
Nano-ceramic tint cuts heat and glare through the glass, which matters in a Tesla in a Perth summer. Book it with the film and both jobs are done in one visit, fitted to WA legal limits.
The glass roof is different. On a Model 3 it runs into the rear windscreen as one piece, and film on the inside of a fixed roof traps heat in the glass, so we do not tint it. We protect it with Defcon Crystal Shield on the outside instead, over the roof and the rear windscreen on a Model 3, from $600 including GST.
From $550 full car, including GST

What our customers say.
“Really nice experience. Professional PPF and window tint for my brand new Tesla. Various options on stunning colors. Cannot describe how surprised when seeing the special and perfect wrapping. Highly recommended to anyone looking for car warping and tint.”
“Honestly can’t thank the whole team at MAS Project enough, they have completely changed the look of my troopy with every single little detail being accounted for. From the day dropping the car off to picking it up we stayed in touch with all updates and ideas giving the feeling of having complete trust it was in good hands. The quality of work they do is absolutely unreal, HIGHLY recommend!”
“I found MAS Project online and also a work mate told me he has done his car there and it was great. I decided to give it a go and went there to get to know more about their product options and outcome. [My first contact person] was nothing but amazing with her customer service, very patient and explain the details of everything, I also had [the owner] who took his time and put some samples in my car to help me with my decision. … So, bottom of story, these guys cared about me, treated me very special, even though they were fully booked. Couldn’t be happier enough and the final product is to die for!”

Choosing PPF for a Tesla in Perth.

01How much does PPF cost on a Tesla?
Front End from $2,000 and Full Car from $5,500 in gloss film, and full car satin from $6,850, all including GST. Front End + Full Sides from $4,250. The exact price for your model is confirmed in your written quote.
02Is PPF worth it on a Tesla?
If chips bother you, or you want the factory paint as it was when you sell the car, yes. Film is the only thing that stops stone chips. It does not make the car damage-proof, but a marked panel’s film can be replaced on its own.
03Will the film affect the cameras?
No. We cut the film to leave every camera lens clear, so driver assistance works as it did before.
04Can you tint the glass roof on my Tesla?
No, and we do not recommend it. On a Model 3 the roof and rear windscreen are one piece of glass, and film on the inside of a fixed glass roof soaks up heat in the glass and raises the risk of a crack. We protect it with Defcon Crystal Shield on the outside instead, over the roof and, on a Model 3, the rear windscreen too, from $600 including GST.
05My Tesla arrives soon. Can I book PPF and tint together?
Yes. Send us the model, colour and expected delivery date, the coverage you want and that you want tint too. We plan both jobs so the car comes to us once.
06I drive the freeway every day. Is Front End enough?
Front End covers the bumper, bonnet, front guards, mirrors, headlights and the A-pillars, which face the road. It leaves the doors, sills and rear bare; Front End + Full Sides adds the sides, where grit from the tyres hits.
07PPF or a ceramic coating on a new Tesla?
PPF stops stone chips; a coating does not. A coating adds gloss and makes washing easier. Many owners have film on the front and a coating on the rest.
08My Tesla already has chips or a coating. Can it still have PPF?
Yes, but tell us about them. Film does not hide existing damage, and the paint needs the right preparation first. We look at it and explain what can be improved before we quote.
09Can you change my Tesla’s colour?
Yes, with colour PPF, from $7,850 for a full car. The film is ordered for your car and takes about 1–2 weeks to arrive.
10What warranty comes with the film?
We register every job on Defcon’s e-Warranty. Defcon Glanz and Frozen carry a ten-year manufacturer warranty against defects in the film.
11I live outside Perth. How many trips will it take?
Usually one: you drop the car off and collect it at the end, and we do the two-week check on your next visit to Perth. Tell us where you are coming from and we plan the dates with you.
09 / Visit and quote

Plan the protection before your Tesla arrives.
Bring the car if you have it, and see the films on real cars. For clear gloss and clear satin, we can fit a small sample on your own paint. Car still on order? Send the model and delivery date, and we book the studio around it.
