A Troop Carrier is a working vehicle, so a colour change has to be tough as well as good looking. This 78 Series went from factory Sandy Taupe to a satin metallic grey in Inozetek Dynamic PPF, a colour film that is also a protective film.
That matters on a four-wheel drive. Branches, gravel and dust are part of normal use, and colour PPF takes those marks far better than a thin vinyl would.
We removed the doors to do the job properly. With the doors off, the film could be laid into the door jambs, so opening a door shows grey, not the old taupe. It is slower, but it is the difference between a colour change and a full colour change.
The factory paint is preserved underneath the film.
The satin finish suits the Troop Carrier’s square, practical shape, and it hides dust better than gloss does between washes.
