Porsche Taycan GTS

Red shows stone chips more than most colours: each chip exposes the pale primer underneath and stands out from metres away. This Porsche Taycan GTS in gloss red was covered in Defcon Glanz clear gloss PPF over every painted panel.

The Taycan is quick and low, and its smooth front and wide rear haunches meet a lot of road grit. Glanz takes those hits so the paint does not, and its self-healing top coat closes light wash marks with heat. The red keeps the same depth it had from the factory, because the film is clear and glossy.

Electric cars carry cameras and sensors in the bumpers, mirrors and pillars. We found each one on the Taycan and cut the film to leave them clear, and we worked the film around the charge port door. The rear light bar and the Taycan GTS script on the rear sit under clear film.

The car spent five to seven working days in the studio, went home in August 2026, and the film was registered on Defcon’s e-Warranty with its ten-year manufacturer warranty.
