Satin grey suits a Macan GTS. The GTS already has black trim and red details, and a soft satin finish on the body makes those details stand out. This one went from gloss to satin grey without any paint, using Defcon Frozen clear satin PPF over the whole car.
Frozen is a clear film with a satin top coat. It keeps the original grey, but takes away the gloss, and it protects every painted panel from stone chips and light scratches at the same time. The red GTS script on the side skirts and the crest on the bonnet stay sharp against the satin finish.
A satin finish is unforgiving if the film is not laid evenly, so the doors, bonnet and tailgate were covered in single pieces wherever their shape allowed, and the film was wrapped around the edges so no lines show.
Looking after it is simple: a hand wash with a pH-neutral shampoo, and no wax or polish, which can leave shiny patches on satin film. The car was with us for five to seven working days.
