Mercedes-Maybach S 580

The owner wanted the classic Maybach two-tone look without a respray. We did it in two layers of film.

First, the whole car went into Defcon Glanz gloss PPF. That clear layer protects every painted panel from stone chips and light scratches, and keeps the factory white looking as it left the showroom.

Then the upper body was laid in green colour PPF from ZR Films. The split line follows the car’s waist, so the green sits above it and the white stays below, the way a factory two-tone would. Getting that line straight and even down both sides took careful measuring before any film was cut.

Because both colours are film, the factory paint stays untouched underneath. If the owner ever wants a single colour again, the green can come off and the clear film keeps protecting the white.

Both films were cut to suit the S 580’s panels, with the colour layer finishing neatly at the trim so the split looks deliberate from every side.
