Toyota GR Supra

Factory matte paint needs different care. It cannot be polished like gloss paint, because polishing would leave shiny patches. A chip or scratch is hard to fix without repainting the panel. This GR Supra came in with its factory matte finish, and the goal was to protect it without making it shine.

Gloss film would have done the opposite of what the owner wanted. So we used Defcon Frozen satin PPF. Its surface is textured to keep a low sheen, so the matte look is preserved and the paint underneath is covered.

The Supra is all curves, with tight arches and a double-bubble roof. Satin film has to be laid evenly on shapes like that, because any stretching changes the sheen.

Now the matte finish has a protective layer that can be replaced panel by panel if it is ever damaged, while the factory paint stays as it is.

It is protection that suits the car’s finish.
