How much does a car wrap cost in Perth?
Thinking about a colour change? In Perth, “car wrap” can mean a vinyl wrap or Colour PPF — a coloured paint protection film. They look similar from a few metres away. They are not the same product, and they are not priced the same way. At MAS Project in Osborne Park we install both. For a full colour change we usually recommend Colour PPF, because Perth’s UV is hard on vinyl. The prices below come from our current sell list. - Colour PPF (full car) starts from $7,150 inc GST for small cars on a template install (gloss clear full-car rate plus the colour surcharge, GST included). Larger size bands cost more — see the table below. Your final price depends on the car and whether you choose template or full coverage; the written quote is what applies.
- Partial Colour PPF (roof, mirrors, spoiler and similar) uses our published per-panel rates — for example a roof from $880 inc GST (template).
- Full-car vinyl wrap is offered but not recommended for Perth sun. Price is on enquiry — we do not publish a figure.
- Partial / accent vinyl (fleet branding, chrome delete, door jambs, finishes PPF does not come in) — price on enquiry unless your quote uses a confirmed sell-list line.
- Every job is quoted on the vehicle in front of us. Deposit is required; we do not publish the deposit amount on the website.
What “car wrap” means at MAS
People search “car wrap Perth” for a few different jobs:
1. Full colour change — the whole exterior in a new colour.
2. Partial / accent — roof, bonnet, mirrors, spoiler, chrome delete, or brand graphics.
3. Protection with a new look — Colour PPF changes the colour and protects the paint underneath.
Vinyl wrap is a decorative film. It changes colour. It does not protect like PPF, and under WA sun it tends to fade and crack within about two to three years.
Colour PPF (we lead with Defcon Spectra; we also install Inozetek Dynamic, ZR Films and CYS) is a thicker TPU film. It changes colour, rejects UV, self-heals light swirl marks with heat, and can be removed later without a respray when installed and removed correctly.
For a full colour change in Perth, we steer you to Colour PPF first. Vinyl stays the right answer for accents, fleet and branding, door jambs and inner doors, finishes Colour PPF does not come in, and complex curves where PPF cannot conform. On full Colour PPF jobs we often finish those tight areas with colour-matched vinyl — that is normal practice.
Colour PPF prices (full car)
Full-car Colour PPF is priced as full-car gloss clear PPF + a $1,100 inc GST colour surcharge. Matte / satin clear is a separate +$550 inc GST surcharge on the clear rate (not the usual path for a colour change).
Door jambs and inner doors are not included. Adding a set of door jambs and inner door wrap is +$2,750 inc GST. Inozetek gloss clear (where specified instead of Defcon) is +$1,100 inc GST on the clear rate.
All figures below are inc GST (converted from the sell list’s ex GST rates at 10% GST, rounded per line). These are template install starting prices by vehicle size band — we no longer list every body style on the public page.

How to read the table: each starting price = (published full-car gloss clear template rate for that size band + $1,000 colour surcharge) with GST included. Template = computer-cut patterns with neat trims around hardware. Full coverage (parts removed so film tucks behind for a cleaner edge) costs more. Your actual price depends on the car and whether you choose template or full coverage — the written quote is what applies.
Turnaround for full-car Colour PPF is typically 8–10 business days once film is on hand (film order time is separate). Warranties are per brand, not a single range: Defcon Spectra 7 years · Inozetek Dynamic 10 years · ZR Films ZIRX Color PPF 6 years · CYS 5 years (manufacturer Zone 3 / hot-climate figures).

Partial and accent colour change
Want a black roof, colour-matched mirrors, or a spoiler — not a full reskin? Partial Colour PPF uses our published per-panel rates (same table for clear or colour accents; your written quote confirms the film). Examples (inc GST):

Carbon-look Colour PPF is available from Defcon Spectra, ZR Films and Inozetek Dynamic. It is almost always partial work and is priced case by case — book a consult rather than using the standard colour surcharge.

Full-car vinyl — price on enquiry
We can install a full-car vinyl colour change. We do not recommend it as the default in Perth: vinyl has no self-healing clear coat like PPF, and harsh UV tends to fade and crack vinyl within about two to three years.
We do not publish a full-car vinyl starting price. If you still want vinyl after we walk through Colour PPF, book a consult and we will quote your vehicle. Customer-facing vinyl warranty is the film maker’s Zone 3 term (rounded down to whole years; horizontal surfaces often excluded) plus 1 year MAS workmanship from pick-up — never “10 years”.
What changes the price
- Vehicle size and shape — more panels and complex curves use more film and time.
- Template vs full coverage — full coverage costs more and finishes cleaner at the edges.
- Colour vs clear — full-car colour adds $1,100 inc GST to the clear rate.
- Extras — door jambs, inner doors, Inozetek where specified, ceramic topper on film.
- Paint condition — correction before film may be recommended; quoted separately.
- Design complexity — multi-colour graphics and printed fleet work take longer (vinyl path; on enquiry).

Ask every shop:
1. Is this vinyl or Colour PPF (and which brand)?
2. Template cut or full custom with parts off?
3. Are door jambs / inner doors included?
4. Is the price including GST, and which panels are covered?
5. What is the Zone 3 / hot-climate warranty in writing?
6. Who registers the warranty, and what voids it?
A cheaper vinyl quote is not the same product as Colour PPF. Compare like for like.

Is vinyl cheaper than Colour PPF?
Often the vinyl line looks lower on a quote, but we do not publish a full-car vinyl figure. Colour PPF costs more because you are buying protection and a UV-stable colour film, not only a colour change.
How long does vinyl last in WA?
Under Perth sun, vinyl often fades or cracks within about two to three years. That is why we steer full colour changes to Colour PPF.

Do you wrap door jambs?
